Make peace with your writing.
Writing is communication.
As writers, our drive is to use the written word to share our experiences with others.
It begins with an awareness of the world, and a reaching-out to absorb it.
We then turn inward in order to process what we've absorbed. Or, as Buddhist author Natalie Goldberg puts it, to “compost” our vision.
Then we return our attention to the outward world by writing—connecting with others through the words we choose, nourished by the composting we've done in the soil of our lives.
The work can be scary. And it is often lonely.
But more than anything, writing is sacred. When we realize our words can help, heal, enlighten, and bring peace to our human family, we begin to realize the significance of our practice.
WritingPractice.org offers a community for writers at all levels—from the life-long practitioner to those just taking first their steps on the path. Through Writers’ Circles, Workshops & Seminars, and Individual Sessions, WritingPractice.org provides a place to connect, refresh, refine, and celebrate our journey as sacred communicators.
